the classification of pipe fittings ASME B16.9

There are 4 basic steel Pipe Fittings in ASME B16.9

1. Elbow

According to the radius, devided into LR, SR, 3D. Where LR=1.5D. SR=1.0D. 

According to the angle, devided into 45 degree, 90 degree, 180 degree.

2. Tee

Equal tee and unequal tee

Equal tee also named straight tee. while unequal tee also named reducing tee 

3. End cap

Used at the end of the pipeline

4. Reducer

Reducer devided into concentric reducer and eccentric reducer.

In addition, htere are also stub end in the standard. A stub end is used together with a lap joint flange.
